Hello and welcome to Kate’s Home Kitchen!
I’m Kate, a passionate home cook living in the mountains of Park City, Utah, where the trails are gorgeous, the winters are long, and a warm bowl of something comforting is basically a survival strategy.
Why This Blog Exists
I love food. Real, soul-warming, crave-worthy food, Russian classics my family made growing up, cozy Italian pasta, bright Mediterranean flavors. But I also have acid reflux, and for a long time those two things felt impossible to reconcile.
So I started doing what any stubborn home cook would do: I figured it out. I lightened things up, swapped ingredients, tracked calories, and tested recipes on myself until they worked, for my stomach and my tastebuds.
That’s what Kate’s Home Kitchen is all about: comfort food that loves you back. Every recipe here is low-acid, calorie-counted, and built around the flavors that actually make you excited to cook.
My Cooking Philosophy
You don’t need to be a chef. You don’t need hours in the kitchen. You just need approachable recipes and the confidence to try – and I’m here to give you both. Whether you’re meal prepping for the week or making something cozy on a Sunday night, I’ll show you that delicious and feel-good can absolutely be the same thing.
Every recipe includes:
- ? Calories per serving
- ? Acid-reflux friendly notes
- ? Lighter swaps you can actually use
Life Outside the Kitchen
When I’m not cooking, you’ll find me paddleboarding, hiking the trails around Park City with my French Bulldog, or soaking in the kind of mountain scenery that makes you want to come home and make something warm and wonderful.
I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s make something delicious.
